Tasty Baked Beans and Ham

You can't beat ham and beans - mmmm!! You and your crockpot will make this winning recipe over and over again!

Baked Beans and Ham Recipe Ingredients

1 lb (or approx 400g) dried beans (black, pinto, navy)
6 cups water
2 cups cooked ham, diced
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup maple syrup
1 tablespoon mustard
1 teaspoon salt

Baked Beans and Ham Recipe Directions

Soak beans overnight in the 6 cups of water, then add both beans and water to a slow cooker or crockpot.
Cook for around 2 hours on high, with the lid on.
Beans should be tender but not too soft.
Drain off the liquid, saving 1/2 cup.
Back in the slow cooker, mix the remaining ingredients along with the saved ½ cup of bean liquid.
Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.
